Morgan Grae
RESIDENT ARTIST
I received a BA in studio art in 2014 with an emphasis in drawing and relief printmaking. I picked up a pen and started drawing plants in 2015 and haven’t stopped yet. Walking out in nature with my children allowed for me to slow down and notice the intricacies of veining in a single leaf, the beauty in the way a snail makes its way across the ground, and the joy that is found in those small wonders. This year I decided to bring that joy and connection to nature to others through the art of tattooing.
I have always had an interest in tattoos and the process of creating artwork on a living canvas. Not only are you creating a piece of art to fit each individual body, but you are also co-creating that art with each person. This co-creation is something that I plan to approach with the utmost care and attention to detail. I am really looking forward to continuing to learn this medium in depth and gain a greater appreciation for the complexity and history of tattoo culture along the way.
